Creating Safe Spaces

Stirling Avenue Mennonite Church seeks to provide an emotionally and physically safe space for everyone— especially for its children, youth, and vulnerable adults.  All our staff and volunteers working with children, youth and vulnerable adults have been carefully trained in our Safe Church Policies, and have been screened, including criminal reference checks.  We do not tolerate abuse, harassment, or neglect in our congregation. In addition, staff and volunteers will be pro-active in preventing harm to children, youth and vulnerable adults. Similarly, we envision and support healthy relationships between adults, and do not tolerate harassment, bullying or misuse of power.  See Safe Church Policy.
